About this care
Daycare Lunetten is located in the heart of the Lunetten neighborhood in South Utrecht, at Hondsrug 51. We are a small-scale facility with space for 50 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our two buildings are located close to each other and each offer three groups, allowing us to provide peace and overview for young children.
Our unique discovery garden is a true experience for children. With a small bridge, a water stream, a willow tunnel and a sandbox, this garden invites play and discovery. We regularly take the children out into the neighborhood and make use of the playgrounds in the area. The location is centrally located, near the Lunetten shopping center, which makes it optimally accessible for parents.
As part of the Kind & Co Ludens Foundation, we work with professional pedagogical staff who are responsible for your child's development in a safe and stimulating environment. We give children the space to develop at their own pace, based on the child's world of experience.
Daycare Lunetten is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 30182723 and is registered in the National Childcare Register. We welcome children from 0 to 4 years old and offer them a second home where they can play, grow and discover in a familiar environment.Read more

The location has two vertical groups for ages 0–4: a baby group and a group for ages 1–4. Although the overall quality is assessed as sufficient, a violation was identified in the area of food safety. Staff did not always act in accordance with the safety and health policy: expressed breast milk was offered outside the refrigerator on several occasions in violation of protocol, and the refrigerator temperature in one group was too high (7°C instead of a maximum of 4°C). Following a recovery offer, these shortcomings have been resolved: new agreements have been made with parents, leftovers are now discarded, and the temperature is now monitored and adjusted professionally. All other assessed domains (pedagogical climate, staff and groups, parental rights, reporting code) met the requirements. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
