About this care
Violientje is our half-day toddler care for children aged 1.5 to 4, located inside Vrije School Valentijn at Vliepad 1 in Harderwijk. We provide a sheltered, homely setting where toddlers can play and develop at their own pace. Our approach is grounded in anthroposophical pedagogy: rhythm, repetition and imitation guide daily life, allowing each child to grow naturally. The group is small-scale with a maximum of 14 places, ensuring personal attention for every child. We welcome all families, regardless of background or beliefs. Summary
This follow-up inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Violientje in Harderwijk (Stichting Violinde) assessed whether the location had resolved a previously identified violation in the area of 'parent rights'. At the annual inspection of 19 March 2026, it was found that there was no parent committee and no alternative parent consultation took place. The municipality set a recovery period through a formal notice letter. The provider promptly established a policy for alternative parent consultation, including an annual plan, approach (digital and in-person), feedback to parents, and efforts to form a parent committee. The violation has been resolved. The area of 'pedagogical climate' had already been brought into compliance earlier through a recovery offer.
