Summary

Kinderopvang Stralende Oogjes in Amsterdam-Oost is a small-scale daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 22 children divided between a baby group and toddler group. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 31 March 2026. The operator acts reactively rather than proactively; policy is only adjusted following inspection findings. This year, multiple violations were identified again, including insufficiently concrete descriptions in the pedagogical policy plan, incorrect attendance lists, inaccurate hour budgeting for the pedagogical policy staff member, and insufficient measures for safe sleeping, outings and missing children. Because violations had already been identified previously, no recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was made this time. The operator indicated in their response that measures had been taken, but these had not yet been implemented before the investigation.
