Welcome to Kinderopvang Dikkie & Dik location De Barrier, located in the monumental Spilcentrum De Barrier at Pieter Poststraat 13a in Eindhoven. As part of the Spilcentrum, we work intensively with Saltoschool de Opbouw, providing your child with a continuous development path from 0-13 years. Our location is housed within the school building and we regularly use the gym and play facilities. Our baby and toddler groups follow the pedagogical vision of Emmi Pikler. We allow children to discover, learn, play and move at their own pace without unnecessary intervention. For our preschool groups, we draw inspiration from the Reggio Emilia principles according to Lois Malaguzzi. We encourage children to develop their own creative process and experiment without predetermined outcomes. Activities are determined from the child's experiences and perceptions. We work with themes that connect to what is happening in the children's lives. An artist visits twice a month to provide extra attention to the creative process. Additionally, we offer 'Music with Young Children' sessions several times a year where children sing and play together. Our spaces are playfully arranged in a monumental building with authentic elements. We have a large outdoor play area with a duck pond, playgrounds and a park nearby. Our central location makes us easily accessible. We maintain a personal approach where everyone knows each other.
