About this care
Welcome to daycare de Kinderkeet, located at Meibergdreef 9 in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Since 1983, we have been providing childcare on the edge of the AMC grounds. Our daycare center offers 108 childcare places and originated from a trial in a construction shed, hence our name "Kinderkeet".
At de Kinderkeet, we believe it's important that children feel at home. We offer a spacious second home where children can play every day in our large natural gardens of no less than 1000m². Under the trees, children can enjoy outdoor play and discover nature. We believe in the power of outdoor play and make extensive use of our outdoor spaces.
Our close-knit and committed team is ready to provide your child with a warm and safe environment. We are located in a unique location on the edge of the AMC grounds, which makes us a special place in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Everyone is welcome at de Kinderkeet, not just AMC employees.

- Missing policy measures for dealing with animals from the mobile petting zoo, including risks of zoonoses, allergies and procedures for incidents

Kdv de Kinderkeet in Amsterdam was inspected unannounced by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 20 January 2026. The childcare facility accommodates 108 children in 8 groups and generally has good pedagogical practice. The staff members are sensitive, engaged and ensure emotional safety. However, two violations were identified in the area of policy: the absence of a written supervision plan for BBL trainees and the absence of measures for dealing with animals from a mobile petting zoo. Both violations were resolved during the investigation through a recovery offer. The GGD advises against imposing enforcement measures.
