About this care
Welcome to our daycare centre at Molenweg 8 in Harskamp. We are part of Christian childcare organisation BijdeHandjes and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a small-scale, cosy and homely setting. The rooms are arranged so that children quickly feel at home and are given the freedom to be themselves and explore the world.
Our pedagogical approach focuses on letting each child grow at his or her own pace. We read aloud from picture books and the children’s Bible, sing Christian songs and say grace together before meals. All children are welcome, regardless of background. Our team consists of qualified, permanent pedagogical staff who offer warmth, love and attention. There are quiet corners for sleeping, a garden for outdoor play and various play areas that support development.
Nappies, baby food, hot meals, fruit and drinks are included. We take allergies and special dietary needs into account. Parents receive photos and reports through our BijdeHandjes app and can handle administrative matters easily via the parent portal. We schedule settling-in sessions and an intake interview so that the start is pleasant for every child and parent.
Together with parents we form a close BijdeHandjes family. We listen, discuss what a child needs and ensure that every child feels seen and loved. Step by step our children grow stronger and wiser in a safe and loving environment.Read more

Summary
Kinderopvang BijdeHandjes in Harskamp is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 40 places for children aged 0-4 years, located in Dorpshuis 'De Spil'. The inspection of 13 October 2025 presents a mixed picture. The pedagogical climate fully meets requirements: staff members work sensitively and responsively, the early childhood education programme Uk & Puk is well implemented, and communication with parents about mentorship is adequate. However, three violations were identified for which recovery offers were made: one staff member lacked proof of training for working with 0-year-olds, hand hygiene did not always comply with policy (no disinfectant at the changing table), and there were safety risks from items stacked high and accessible cords/cables. All violations have since been resolved. The municipality of Ede is advised not to take enforcement action.
