Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf de Helmstok, located within Gereformeerde Basisschool De Helmstok at Volkerakstraat 30 in Lelystad. We are part of CKO KleurRijk and provide care in one vertical group for up to 14 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is part of Kindcentrum De Helmstok, together with the preschool playgroup and after-school care, allowing seamless transitions. Our Christian identity is central. Our staff share Biblical values and help children experience God's love. We pray together, read from the Bible, listen to Christian children's music and celebrate Christian holidays. This aligns with the Kanjertraining programme also used at the school, creating consistency. We work with one vertical group where babies, toddlers and preschoolers aged 0-4 are cared for together, creating a family-like atmosphere. We offer a preschool playgroup with early childhood education (VE), focusing on language and social skills through play. Outdoor play is very important to us. The daycare has its own separate outdoor space, designed to be challenging and stimulating. Even in cold or wet weather, children can play outside using special outdoor play trousers. We provide healthy meals and snacks. Nappies and wipes are included in the price. Children rest at midday in separate sleeping facilities. Our team consists of four permanent pedagogical staff: Sharon, Tineke, Jessica and Leonieke. Each child has a mentor. We use the Konnect parent app for daily updates, photos and requesting extra days. Kinderdagverblijf de Helmstok is a place where children feel safe, loved and seen, and can develop through play.
