Summary
On 6 August 2026, GGD West-Brabant conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Camelot in Genderen, following earlier serious violations regarding safe sleeping practices. On 6 July 2026, acute safety risks had been identified for babies, including restriction of freedom of movement and a muslin cloth over the face. The location has updated the Safe Sleeping protocol, implemented it in the pedagogical policy, instructed staff, and informed parents. During the investigation, babies were found to be safe and staff acted in accordance with the policy. The provider has drawn up an action plan with periodic observations, team discussions, and registration. The previously identified violation was no longer found. The inspector advises no enforcement action, but emphasises the importance of long-term monitoring given the seriousness of the earlier violation.
