KDV De Schat in Wijk en Aalburg is a small-scale daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 can play, sleep and grow in a safe and secure environment. We are located at Azaleastraat 88 in the heart of Wijk en Aalburg, North Brabant. With 47 places we offer full-day, half-day and flexible care. Our opening hours are 07:30 – 18:30, 52 weeks a year (closed at weekends and on public holidays). Extended hours are available on request.
Our qualified, enthusiastic team is ready to give every child the care and attention they deserve. The indoor rooms are furnished with age-appropriate toys and create a homely atmosphere. Summary
Kinderopvang De Schat Wijk en Aalburg provides daycare for up to 47 children (ages 0-4) in three core groups and uses the recognised pre-school education programme Uk and Puk. During the annual unannounced inspection visit on 1 September 2025, it was found that the pedagogical climate fully meets legal requirements: the pedagogical policy is concrete and implemented, the atmosphere is warm and safe, staff respond sensitively and stimulate children's development in all areas. The pre-school education is also well organised. However, a violation was identified regarding staff deployment: two core groups had been temporarily merged to 20 children, exceeding the maximum group size of 16. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) issued a recovery offer. The location took immediate measures: groups are no longer merged and childcare professionals take breaks in rotation. At the follow-up visit on 7 October 2025, the violation was found to be resolved. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement action.
