Jaribabo in Doezum is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for a maximum of 16 children that underwent an unannounced annual inspection in April 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Groningen. The location has recently moved to the MFA Grootegast and makes use of a large hall with various play corners and a bedroom. At the time of inspection, 8 sleeping daycare children, 5 after-school care (BSO) children, three staff members, and one trainee were present. The report presents a positive picture: in all areas examined—pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights—the legal requirements are met. The pedagogical practice scores well on emotional safety, personal competence, social competence, and transmission of norms and values. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The GGD advises the municipality of Westerkwartier not to take enforcement measures.
