At KOOS, we give settling in our full attention. We introduce children to their new group and environment in a playful way, while carefully observing and listening to each child and their individual needs. Summary
KDV IJsselbron in Olst, a new child center with 80 places and early education (voorschoolse educatie/VE), was inspected on 7 May 2026. The location meets the requirements for general conditions, accommodation and parental rights. However, shortcomings were identified in three domains. Regarding pedagogical climate, the implementation of early education and deployment of early-education-qualified staff is insufficient: one staff member does not meet the language level 3F Reading requirement and a trainee was deployed in an early education group without the required qualification. Regarding staff and groups, the Kikkers group lacked a consistent familiar face due to a combination of holidays and changed closure scheduling. Regarding safety and health, the policy document was not fully up to date, although practical measures had been implemented. No recovery offer was made as the location manager indicated that quality improvement takes time. The location has since taken measures: new staff hired, an early education pedagogical coach deployed, documentation updated and finger guards installed.
