About this care
Welcome to Kindcentrum De Borne, located in the De Blaak district of Tilburg. Since August 2025, childcare center Grebbe and primary school De Borne have merged. Our daycare center (0-4 years) offers a warm, safe and inspiring environment where young children can be themselves and grow.
We believe young children learn through play and discovery. Our groups feature rich play areas, natural materials and activities that match the child's world. We focus on language, movement, social skills and creativity, always tailored to each child's pace of development.
Our groups work with familiar faces, clear routines and personal attention. Our pedagogical staff ensure every child feels safe, seen and valued. Together with parents, we build a strong foundation for the future.
Our toddler program (2-4 years) uses the recognized Startblokken early education method, stimulating broad development through meaningful themes and play activities with attention to language, social-emotional growth and independence.
We collaborate with primary schools De Borne and De Blaak. As one integrated child center with De Borne, many faces, spaces and routines are already familiar to children.

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Borne in Tilburg was subject to an unannounced follow-up investigation by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 8 December 2025. This was prompted by an earlier annual inspection (25 August 2025) which revealed that a staff member in an infant group did not hold a valid infant care certification. The municipality subsequently issued a warning letter. During the follow-up investigation, all diplomas and certificates of the relevant staff were reviewed again; all involved staff members now hold the required certification. The location has tightened its internal controls: diplomas and certificates are now structurally verified, new employees are only deployed after verification of infant care training, and the director holds final responsibility for qualification administration. The inspection concludes that the provider now meets the tested quality requirement for 'staff qualifications' and advises the municipality not to take enforcement measures.
