About this care
At our location on Kloosterweg 100 in Roermond we have been providing professional childcare on a real farm since 1995. Children aged 0 to 4 can play, discover and grow up in a unique rural setting just outside the built-up area. The spacious garden borders our young-stock farm, so children are in daily contact with animals and nature. We believe that being outdoors—playing in the meadow or splashing in puddles—contributes to rich development. The small-scale daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 30 places and two groups complies with legislation on most aspects. The pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and information provision to parents were found to be in order. One shortcoming was identified: the mandatory parent committee is not correctly composed. With 58 child contracts, there are more than 50 contracts, making a parent committee with at least two members mandatory. There was only one parent member. The holder has indicated that a second member has since been found through personal outreach. The GGD advises the municipality of Roermond to enforce.
