At Welschap Kinderopvang, we offer a safe and trusted environment where children feel welcome and are free to play. Our focus is on stimulating children's development through age-appropriate activities and playful language development.
We place great value on outdoor play and movement. Children go outside daily to run, climb, and explore the world. This contributes to their physical development and social skills. Our staff are friendly and involved, and ensure that every child feels seen and heard.
Our childcare includes healthy meals, fresh fruit, and nappies. Every child has a fixed mentor who monitors their development. We provide care for children from 0 to 12 years old, with specific programmes for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV), preschool/toddler care (peuteropvang), and after-school care (BSO). GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual supervision visit on October 30, 2025, at peuteropvang de Ark PO in Heemskerk. The location provides four half-day sessions of preschool education (VVE) following the Startblokken program for 16 children aged 2–4. All assessed quality requirements for pedagogical climate, VVE policy, staff qualifications, VOG registration, and coaching have been achieved. The pedagogical policy is clear, consistently implemented, and parents are actively involved. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
