Summary

Kindercentrum Beregoed in Hoek van Holland was inspected by the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond on 23 July 2026. This was an annual inspection of a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for children aged 0-4 years with 28 places, located within primary school De Driemaster. The location provides early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie) following the Uk & Puk method. Most quality requirements were found to be in order, including pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, personnel matters, safety policy, and accommodation. However, a violation was identified regarding early childhood education. Two staff members did not meet the qualification requirements: one staff member lacked language proficiency level 3F for the Reading component, and a trainee was deployed in a formative role in the early childhood education group, which is not permitted. This resulted in inadequate staffing on the days of inspection. The location manager has indicated that the staff member will be immediately registered for the missing examination. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Rotterdam to take enforcement action.
