About this care
Welcome to KDV Aventurijn located at Laurastraat 3 in Hengelo. We are a daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years and part of the Partou organization. At our location you'll find two cozy spaces where your baby can safely play with colorful balls in the playpen and your toddler can let their imagination run free in the doll corner. We believe in the power of learning through play and provide a rich environment where children can develop at their own pace.
At KDV Aventurijn, outdoor play is central. Our garden offers plenty of opportunities for climbing and clambering or simply playing in the sandbox. We also love to go out together, for example to the playground or Laura Park. Additionally, we regularly organize small excursions in the neighborhood. Our trained pedagogical staff provide a warm and safe environment where every child receives the space to grow.
We work with fixed daily routines and small groups, so that each child receives the attention they deserve. For the youngest ones we have a separate baby corner with quiet sleeping areas. Toddlers receive increasingly challenging activities that match their curiosity and developmental stage. We find it important that children can be themselves and have fun in everything they do.

Summary
KDV Aventurijn in Hengelo, part of Partou/Smallsteps, was inspected unannounced by GGD Twente on 25 August 2026. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) accommodates up to 28 children in two core groups (ages 0-2 and 2-4) and is open from 7:30 to 18:30. The annual inspection found that the location meets all assessed requirements. The pedagogical practice is strong: staff know the children well, communicate respectfully and sensitively, and offer a varied program with sufficient challenge. Group composition is balanced and children go outside daily. The staff-child ratio was correct on the inspection day (3:11 for ages 0-2 and 2:11 for ages 2-4). Four new staff members have the proper qualifications and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). For safety and health, CO₂ sensors have been purchased for group rooms; the location manager plans to purchase additional sensors for bedrooms. Parent information, complaints procedure, and parent committee (3 members) are in order. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
