Welcome to Jansens Huis, our intimate daycare center located at Réaumurlaan 27 in Utrecht. We are one of the five locations of Kinderparadijs Jansen & Jansen, providing care for up to 20 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our facility is situated in the Zuilen district and offers a homely, peaceful environment where your child will quickly feel at home.
At Jansens Huis, we work with dedicated childcare professionals who provide personal attention to each child. We use horizontal grouping, where babies and toddlers are cared for in age-appropriate groups. This creates calm and structure in the daily routine. Our opening hours are from 7:15 AM to 6:15 PM, allowing us to flexibly accommodate your childcare needs.
We believe it's important that both children and parents become familiar with our staff. Therefore, we work with a consistent team that gets to know your child well. Practical info
Settling in
At Kinderparadijs Jansen en Jansen, we use a custom schedule for the settling-in period (wenperiode). During the introductory meeting (intake), we discuss the settling-in procedure together with parents. We believe it's important that parents have a say in this, because the calmer the parent is during settling in, the sooner the child will feel at home. The custom schedule helps the child gradually get used to stimuli, sounds, atmosphere and our childcare professionals.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Jansens Huis in Utrecht, part of Kinderparadijs Jansen & Jansen (recently acquired by Kids Lodge), describes an unannounced incidental investigation into the indoor climate during a heatwave. On 25 June 2026, sleeping room temperatures of 28-30°C were measured in the baby group Liefebees, while the risk of cot death increases considerably above 25°C. The group room reached 25°C and the air conditioning was insufficiently effective. The toddler group Krookodil measured 27°C. The safety and health policy contained insufficient concrete instructions for heat, staff were not adequately familiar with the heat protocol, temperature measurements were structurally absent, and internal coordination was inconsistent. The license holder submitted an action plan with revised policy, AirTeq sensors, and clearer responsibilities. Acute risks are under control, but sustainable recovery must be demonstrated at a follow-up inspection.
