Welcome to IKC 't Oelebröd in Ruinen, an Integral Child Centre where childcare and education seamlessly blend together. Our daycare is part of Wolderwijs and offers children from 0 to 4 years a safe and loving place to grow and develop. We provide a continuous line in both pedagogy and methodology, ensuring a smooth transition from daycare to preschool and later to primary education. Our team of professionals works from one vision and one management, so your child always sees familiar faces and feels at home quickly.

That’s why we work thematically and connect with current events. We offer Early Childhood Education (VVE), stimulating language, numeracy and social skills from an early age. Our programme is broad: from language and speech development to creative activities and cooking together. Our childcare is tailored to your child’s needs. We are open from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM and offer flexible childcare options with favourable rates and clear agreements. Our daycare centre has a warm and safe atmosphere, with space for rest, play and development. Summary
GGD Drenthe conducted an unannounced inspection of daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) IKC 't Oelebröd on 8 July 2025. The location provides daycare for up to 32 children (ages 0-4) in two core groups. All assessed areas – pedagogical climate, staff/group composition and accommodation – meet statutory requirements. The pedagogical policy is current and staff are familiar with and apply it. Sufficient, timely registered childcare professionals (including valid Certificate of Good Conduct/VOG) are present; the staff-child ratio (BKR) is correctly applied with a maximum of 3 hours per day planned deviation, during which at least half of the required number of staff is always present and an on-call backup is available within 15 minutes. Children are supervised in fixed core groups by assigned mentors and experience a maximum of two rooms per week. Indoor and outdoor play spaces are safe, more than adequate (3.5 m² indoor, 3 m² outdoor per child) and include a separate sleeping area for babies. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The operator endorses the findings without comment. GGD advises the municipality of De Wolden not to impose enforcement measures.
