KDV IDEA in Rijswijk offers small-scale, safe daycare (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 years in a vertical group with a maximum of 11 children. Absence policy
Absence due to illness must be reported before 9:00 AM. Swap days can be requested up to one week in advance via the parent portal or by email, but availability is not guaranteed due to the statutory staff-to-child ratio.
Sick child policy
Sick children cannot be cared for in order to protect the health of all children and staff. Parents must report illness before 9:00 AM. If a child becomes ill during their stay, we will contact you immediately to arrange pick-up. Medication is only administered if it is in the child's name, in original packaging with leaflet, and only pain relievers/fever reducers on the advice of a doctor.
Payment
We work with an annual fee divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Parents can apply for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) through the Tax Authority. The gross hourly rate for 2026 is €12.00, all-inclusive (nappies, formula, warm meals, care products and activities included).

Summary
IDEA Kinderopvang in Rijswijk was subject to an unannounced follow-up investigation by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Haaglanden on 31 August 2026. This investigation was conducted at the request of the municipality of Rijswijk following a violation identified during the annual inspection on 18 May 2026. The violation concerned a group assistant who had not been registered and linked in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) before starting her work duties. This follow-up investigation found that all staff members are now correctly registered in the PRK with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and linked to the provider. New staff members have also been correctly registered before starting work since that time. The previously identified violation has been resolved.
