Hummeltjeshonk

Peuterspeel- en leergroep Hummeltjeshonk is located within primary school De Trimaran in the Nieuw Den Helder district. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 4. Our qualified staff guide each child’s development through play-based learning. Our programme is officially recognised as early childhood education (VE) and follows the Uk & Puk curriculum, which supports language, motor, social and cognitive skills in a playful way. Children are placed in small, same-age groups (horizontal grouping) to ensure individual attention. Being situated inside the school building helps children become familiar with a school setting early on, making the eventual transition to primary school easier. Parents are encouraged to take part in activities and decision-making, as we are a parent-participation centre. Hummeltjeshonk is operated by Monter Kinderopvang.
