About this care
Welcome to BSO Hoograven, located at Wijnesteinlaan 2 in the Nieuw Hoograven-Zuid district of Utrecht. We are part of Partou, a national organization with over 100 years of experience in childcare. Our location is cozy and warmly furnished, situated on a spacious site with a wonderful outdoor area where children can play to their heart's content. We also regularly take trips to the park or a playground nearby.
Our after-school care is specifically designed for children aged 4 to 12 who attend primary school. We provide care after school hours and during holidays. Children are grouped by age, and we ensure a homely and safe atmosphere. We believe it's important that children feel at home with us and can relax after a day at school. At the same time, we provide sufficient challenges and stimulate their development through fun activities and play.
Our pedagogical staff are ready to give the children a great time. They are professional, involved, and have an eye for every child. We work according to Partou's vision, where the child's development is central. We offer a rich learning environment where children can discover, play, and grow. We believe it's important that children feel safe and have fun, so they can develop optimally.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 12 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Hoograven in Utrecht, part of Partou B.V. The location provides care for 66 children aged 4-13 in a church building. Although the location generally meets the quality requirements, safety risks were identified in the kitchen. Cleaning products were accessible to children in an unsecured kitchen cabinet and a meat knife was within reach. The manager immediately committed to measures: a safety lock on the cabinet and relocation of the knives. The violations have been resolved. Furthermore, the location meets all assessed requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff, VOG registration, first aid, domestic violence reporting protocol, and parental rights.
