About this care
Welcome to BSO Het Vorstendom, a large after-school care location run by GO! Kinderopvang in Parkwijk, Almere-Stad. We provide care for up to 102 children aged 4 to 12 who attend De Kraanvogel, GBS De Verbinding, Het Zonnewiel or KBS Pirouette primary schools. Children are collected on foot or by our BSO minibus.
Our location spreads across two floors and houses three BSO groups. Each group has its own atmosphere and layout: a chill room for relaxing, a creative studio (atelier) where beautiful artworks are made, and a multi-purpose space for air hockey, table football or simply hanging out. In the communal area children can build dens and play together. We have our own fenced outdoor area and also use the playground of De Verbinding primary school right next door, which includes a green play space and traffic square.
We offer a challenging activity programme tailored to younger and older children, ranging from experiments and nature experiences in our discovery room, cooking in the cooking café, building in the construction room to performing in our own theatre. Parents value our stable, close-knit team and reliable stand-in staff.

BSO Het Vorstendom in Almere (102 places, ages 4-12) received an unannounced annual inspection visit on 7 January 2025. The report concludes that the location meets all legal requirements following a recovery offer. Strong points include the vibrant pedagogical climate: children are given considerable freedom and responsibility (cutting their own fruit, setting the table), there is respect for rituals and diversity, and the team works consistently according to its own policy. Staff are well-qualified, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and registrations are in order, and the staff-child ratio is compliant. There was one area for improvement: the two-yearly cycle for safety and health (risk inventory and evaluation, action plan, evaluation) had not been carried out. The location submitted an annual plan and risk inventory and evaluation within four weeks, thereby resolving the shortcoming. No violations identified. There is still no parent committee despite 102 registered children; the provider organises parent cafés and continues to recruit. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to enforce.
