Summary
Het Octaaf in Krimpen aan den IJssel, a toddler daycare (peuteropvang) with 16 places for children aged 2 to 4 years, was inspected on 10 June 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. The annual inspection shows a predominantly positive picture. All inspected quality requirements were found to be in order, including pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, early childhood education, staffing matters and safety. The pedagogical practice is characterised by a relaxed atmosphere, sensitive guidance and challenging activities. The early childhood education following the Uk & Puk programme is well organised with sufficient hours and qualified staff. No violations or points for improvement were identified in this inspection. It is noted that at the previous annual inspection on 30 October 2025, a recovery offer had been made for the pedagogical policy, which has since been resolved. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
