About this care
Welcome to Day-care Henhaan in the heart of Lith! We are a small-scale, private day-care centre and together with primary school De Meander we form the Kindcentrum Lith. Our location at Marktplein provides day-care for children from 6 weeks up to 4 years in a familiar and safe environment.
At Henhaan everything revolves around play and having fun together. We focus on a personal and positive approach to every child. Children are allowed to be themselves with us! Every child is unique and may grow up in his or her own way. We provide structure, regularity and a broad, varied range of activities, so that each child can develop playfully at his or her own pace.
Our day-care centre is open 52 weeks a year (except national holidays and both carnival days) from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. On 5, 24 and 31 December we close at 5:00 p.m. We are officially registered in the National Childcare Register and offer pre-school education (VE). Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Henhaan in Lith was inspected on 24 April 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant. The location provides care for a maximum of 32 children aged 0 to 4 years in two groups. The pedagogical climate meets all requirements: pedagogical practice is positive, with respectful communication, stimulation of development and good early childhood education according to the Uk en Puk method. However, one violation was identified regarding staff and groups: a new staff member who started on 1 April 2026 was only linked in the Childcare Persons Register on 19 April 2026, whereas this must be done before work commences. This violation can no longer be remedied. No recovery offer was made. The GGD advises the municipality of Oss to enforce.
