About this care
Harlekijn Day-care Centre is part of children's meeting centre De Brakken at Burgemeester Sweensplein 7 in Rijen. The emphasis is on meeting: meeting other children, other familiar faces and encountering new play and learning situations. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in vertical groups, allowing children of different ages to play and learn together.
We are well aware that with us often the first step in 'letting go' is taken. By working with familiar faces in the group and providing a pleasant homely atmosphere and a familiar daily rhythm, we try to give your child as pleasant a place as possible. A place from which he/she can safely and in trusted hands explore the world.
Especially for the very youngest, it is important to follow the rhythm of home as much as possible and see what the child needs. There is a lot of (conscious) personal contact. For children from 1 year old, there is a fixed daily rhythm, which works familiarly and gives insight into time.
The space looks friendly and invites play. There is plenty of time and space for free play. In addition, (development-oriented) activities are offered, such as singing songs, reading stories, crafts, movement games and fantasy play. Through games, babies are also challenged to actively explore. The vertical group (0 to 4 years) provides space for fun interactions between different ages.
Every day (weather permitting) we make time to go outside. On our own enclosed playground, children can explore safely. We regularly take a walk to the playground or go shopping.
Our location works closely with the integrated primary school de Brakken and the other forms of care (playgroup and after-school care) within children's meeting centre De Brakken.Read more
