About this care
Welcome to Happy Kids Almere located at Edelhertweg 3 in Almere-Buiten. Our daycare centre provides care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe and homely environment. We are open 49 weeks per year, excluding the last three weeks of the summer holidays.
We use the Uk & Puk methodology, a comprehensive programme centred around play. Through active engagement, babies, toddlers and preschoolers learn new skills in a playful manner. Our pedagogical staff guide the children in their development with respect for each child's unique character and pace.
Our location features separate sleeping areas and a large outdoor playground. All necessities such as nappies, meals and care products are included in the price. We offer competitive rates without any hidden costs.

The unannounced annual inspection visit on 20 May 2025 to daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Happy Kids Almere (Edelhertweg) shows that the location is functioning well overall. The pedagogical climate is positive: the policy is up to date, provides children with emotional safety, challenging activities and promotes social competencies. The groups are stable, meet the maximum size requirements and each child has a fixed mentor. Staff hold the correct qualifications, Certificates of Conduct (VOGs) and first aid (EHBO) certificates; the language of communication is Dutch. The accommodation is safe, clean and furnished in an age-appropriate manner. Parents are well informed via the website and parent committee; the complaints procedure and affiliation with the Disputes Committee are in order. There is an up-to-date safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code and a first aider is always present.
