About this care
Welcome to Happy Faces childcare at Tjalk 25 6 in Lelystad. We are a professional organization providing daycare for children from 10 weeks to 4 years old. We have deliberately chosen smaller locations so that children quickly feel at home in a cozy, family-like atmosphere.
Our location at Tjalk has 33 childcare places and features 1 baby group, 1 toddler group and a vertical group. We have a large outdoor space specially designed for children to play in. Indoors and outdoors we have various play materials and toys suitable for different ages, allowing children to develop at their own pace and according to their own needs.
Happy Faces fully complies with the provisions of the Childcare Act and the requirements under the Childcare CAO. We work with high standards in pedagogy, safety and hygiene. All our staff are qualified and registered in the childcare personnel register. They also hold BHV and first aid certificates.
We have been providing professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years since 2001. Our location is easily accessible by car, public transport or bicycle.Read more

Summary
GGD Flevoland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 12 May 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Happy Faces on Tjalk in Lelystad. The location meets all assessed requirements following a recovery offer. The KDV accommodates 33 children across three groups: baby, vertical, and toddler group. Staff show engagement and the atmosphere is calm. There was an incidental situation in which the toddler group was merged with the vertical group due to illness, during which the correct staff-child ratio was maintained. Shortcomings were identified with the accommodation, which were resolved via a recovery offer on 21 May 2026.

Zeer fijn kinderdagverblijf. Alle drie onze kinderen gaan al sinds hun eerste jaar naar Happy Faces.
