At Gastouderland you will find small-scale childminder care (gastouderopvang) in a homelike atmosphere. We mediate between parents and registered childminders (gastouders) who meet all legal requirements. Your personal regional consultant will actively search for a suitable childminder that matches your needs and arranges a no-obligation introduction.

We offer flexible childcare where the hours can be tailored to your needs. Childminder care is official childcare, which means you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Our childminders work with the early childhood education programme AAP! that playfully prepares children for school.

You always have a fixed contact person who works in your region and guides you through all aspects of the care, from matching to administrative handling.

Gastouderland has nationwide coverage with 23 locations throughout the Netherlands. We work regionally with consultants who are active in your neighbourhood and have a large database of qualified childminders in every region.

Our locations are spread across all provinces and major cities, allowing us to serve parents and childminders locally. Each region has its own consultant who knows the local market well and maintains personal contact.

Gastouderland meets all requirements of the Childcare Act and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). All our childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and the Childcare Persons Register (PRK).

We carry out annual risk assessments for safety and health at all childcare locations. Childminders and household members over 18 have a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are continuously screened via the PRK.

Our quality assurance includes at least two home visits per year, six-monthly progress interviews with childminders and annual evaluations with parents. We have an internal and external complaints procedure and are a member of the Disputes Committee.
