The bureau takes the full administrative burden off parents' hands, arranges payments between parents and childminders, and ensures professional guidance for both childminders and parents. Gastouderbureau Jool is active in the northern provinces of the Netherlands. The bureau has its roots in Friesland, where founder Alina van der Heide lives in Drachten. Childminders in this region can always turn to the bureau for questions and support.

Gastouderbureau Jool is registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang) and is inspected annually by GGD Fryslân. The bureau carries out risk assessments at all childminders and these are available for parents to view. There is an active parent committee that advises on pedagogical policy, quality, safety and prices. The bureau has a complaints procedure and privacy policy in accordance with legal requirements.

Gastouderbureau CoCo offers parents a personal and flexible form of childcare in a homely atmosphere. Unlike daycare centers (kinderdagverblijven/KDV) or after-school care (BSO), childminder care (gastouderopvang) offers a small-scale and warm environment where your child is cared for by a regular childminder (gastouder). This creates a personal bond of trust in which your child feels safe. The care can be adapted to the number of hours you actually need, which can be financially advantageous in combination with childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).

Gastouderbureau CoCo operates throughout North Friesland. The agency has two locations: in Sint Annaparochie and in Stiens. During matching, care is sought as close as possible to your home or workplace within the North Friesland service area.

Gastouderbureau CoCo meets all legal requirements for childcare. The agency is included in the National Childcare Register (LRK number 230732719) and has a positive GGD inspection report. All childminders (gastouders) are qualified and meet government standards, with at least an MBO-2 Social Care Assistant diploma and a Paediatric First Aid diploma. CoCo has an approved pedagogical policy plan, complaints procedure, and carries out annual risk assessments. The agency also has additional professional liability insurance for childminders and placed children.
