The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) of Ms Klein Zeggelink in Utrecht on 9 April 2026, mediated by childminder agency Drakepit. The pedagogical climate is assessed positively: the childminder provides emotional safety, stimulates development and social skills, and acts in accordance with the pedagogical policy plan. One violation was identified regarding safe sleeping. A baby of approximately six months who had just learned to roll over was sleeping under a thick blanket instead of a sleeping bag with tightly tucked sheet, increasing the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The childminder received a recovery offer and resolved the shortcoming the same day by switching to sleeping bags and sheets only and conducting more frequent checks. This was approved upon reassessment on 22 April 2026. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
