The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) of Jonne-Mare van Gessel in Amersfoort on 25 June 2024, mediated by 4Kids. The care accommodates 2 one-year-old children, 1 day per week. The childminder meets the quality requirements for registration, pedagogical climate and personal expertise. The pedagogical practice is assessed positively: the childminder is loving and attentive, provides structure and stimulates the children's development. Two violations were identified in the area of accommodation and safety: unsafe attic stairs without a full handrail and open stair gates. Descriptions of these were also missing from the risk assessment. The childminder made use of the recovery offer and resolved both shortcomings: the attic floor is no longer used for childcare and stair gates are now kept closed. The GGD advises no enforcement and approves the expansion from 4 to 5 childcare places.
