About this care
Peuteropvang Goudsteen is located at Grenskreek 11 in the IJsselmonde district of Rotterdam. We are part of gro-up, a national organization with over 25 years of experience in childcare. Our focus is on outdoor play and nature-based learning. We believe children learn best by exploring, moving and playing in the fresh air. That's why we've developed a unique concept: outdoor toddler care.
Our location features spacious outdoor areas where children can play, discover and grow every day. We regularly organize trips to Natuurtuin De Enk and take walks in the surrounding area. These experiences contribute to children's development and stimulate their curiosity about the world around them.
We work with Early Childhood Education (VE), paying extra attention to Dutch language development during play. This helps children prepare well for primary school. We ensure a smooth transition to school by maintaining good communication with primary schools.
Our activities are tailored to the age and development of the children. We participate in special events such as the Toddler Four-Day Walk, Mud Day and Children's Book Week. These activities make childcare extra fun and special for the children.

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Goudsteen in Rotterdam provides half-day care for 16 children aged 2-4 years and works with the pre-school education programme Kaleidoscoop. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) determined on 30 September 2025 that the location meets all assessed statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice offers children emotional security, stimulates their motor, cognitive, language and creative development, and guides them in social interaction. The safety and health policy is up to date, staff are familiar with the domestic violence reporting code, and there is always someone present with a valid first aid certificate. Parents are informed via the website about policy, inspection reports and complaints procedures; a parent committee is not mandatory due to the small size. All staff are registered in the Childcare Personnel Register and hold the required Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag/VOG). The pedagogical policy staff member for pre-school education is deployed sufficiently and supervises the team. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
