At GASTOU, we believe it's important that children keep the rhythm of home. Childminder care (gastouderopvang) feels very natural, with just one familiar face for children to focus on. They can happily do their own thing, together with other children in a safe, small group. There is plenty of room to do things together with the childminder (gastouder): crafting at the table, reading a book on the couch, or making music together. Just like at home, the household continues as normal, and we involve the children in that.
GASTOU is based in Barneveld and coordinates childminder care (gastouderopvang) in Central Netherlands. We work with childminders (gastouders) spread across various municipalities in the region. Summary
Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland conducted a registration investigation on 8 April 2026 for childminder Mrs. K. Fidder-Oostendorp at Gapersweg 1A in Hattem. The care concerns a relocation by the requesting parent; the childminder had already been registered at a different address since 2010. Care is provided every other week on Tuesday afternoons for one child aged 9 years, via childminder agency GASTOU B.V. The childminder meets all legal requirements: valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), registration in the personal records database, appropriate diploma, valid first aid certificate until 2028, and knowledge of the pedagogical policy. The accommodation is safe and smoke-free, with sufficient play and sleeping space. During the investigation, a smoke detector was missing in the escape route on the first floor; this was remedied on 10 April 2026. A backup caregiver has been arranged who is available within 15 minutes.
