Summary

The annual inspection of 17 June 2026 at daycare center Eigenwijs in Enschede, part of Stichting Humankind, initially identified four shortcomings. Following the recovery offer, all conditions have been met. The location provides care for 62 children in five home groups, including early childhood education. The pedagogical practice, staff deployment, safety policy and parent committee met requirements immediately. The four violations concerned: pedagogical policy that did not match practice regarding group mergers, children in second home groups without written consent, insufficient staff knowledge of reporting, consultation and duty-to-report obligations, and exceeding the maximum group size in one room. All violations were resolved within the agreed timeframe. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
