Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer BSO de Klaroen, located at Michiel Adriaanszoon de Ruyterstraat 2 in Maarssen. We are part of Kindcentrum De Klaroen, where education and childcare come together in a special collaboration. Our location accommodates 80 children and works closely with De Klaroen primary school.
As a BSO (after-school care), we are specifically designed for primary school children aged 4 to 12 years. We provide both before-school and after-school care, welcoming children from De Klaroen and other nearby schools. This collaboration within the Kindcentrum ensures a seamless transition between school and childcare, where children continue to experience a familiar environment.
Our pedagogical professionals create a safe and challenging environment where children can develop in their own unique way. We work from the conviction that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. With us, children can discover, play, have fun and learn in a way that suits them.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) de Klaroen in Maarssen on 16 July 2026. The location meets requirements in all assessed areas: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health (following recovery offer), and parental rights. One violation was identified: a climbing frame on the school playground had been assessed as unsafe by an external inspection, but remained accessible to children during care hours. The operator was unaware of this inspection report. Following a recovery offer, the equipment was immediately taken out of use and subsequently removed. The shortcoming has been resolved. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
