This inspection report concerns an unannounced investigation following registration of after-school care (BSO) Hand in Hand Borne of Duimelot Borne BV, located in the integraal kindcentrum Ridderspoor. The location provides care for 60 children (ages 4-12) in two base groups of 30 children, and commenced operations on 1 January 2026. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that, following a recovery offer in the area of pedagogical policy, the provider meets all assessed conditions. The pedagogical practice shows positive results: children feel emotionally safe, there is a varied activity programme, and staff guide children respectfully. There were no violations in the areas of personnel, safety, accommodation or parental rights. It was noted, however, that the provider was temporarily without a qualified paediatric first aider on two mornings, although the provider's presence in an adjacent room was deemed plausible. The provider has not yet employed a pedagogical policy officer; this will be assessed at the next visit.
