About this care
BSO in je Sas is a small-scale after-school care facility in Nieuwolda. We provide care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. Our motivated team works daily to create a pedagogical climate where children can play, meet, discover and develop. We pick up the children from school on foot or by car and start with a drink and a snack together. Afterwards, there is plenty of room for indoor and outdoor play. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of BSO in je Sas in Nieuwolda on 3 July 2025 showed a predominantly positive picture with several areas of attention. The location meets most quality requirements regarding staff, safety and pedagogical climate. One recovery offer was made for the lack of a concrete description of multi-location care on school-free days in the pedagogical policy plan; this has since been resolved. A structural problem concerns the parent committee: despite the operator's efforts to recruit parents, it was absent during the inspection. The operator could not demonstrate that parents were otherwise involved in advisory requests. During the investigation, a parent committee of 2 members was established in December 2025. This is the third consecutive time this issue has been identified as a shortcoming.
