About this care
Welcome to Droomtuin, our small-scale daycare centre located in the new Regina Pacis building at Velperweg 158 in Arnhem. We provide care for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years. The wooded surroundings form a true discovery garden full of natural materials. In our spacious outdoor garden children can play, explore, hide, climb, run or cycle along paths and find peace. There are plenty of shaded and imaginative spots.
Inside it is cosy and there is much to discover for every child. The group rooms are divided into different corners such as a construction corner, reading corner, doll corner and car corner. We regularly rearrange, so children can go on a new discovery tour every time. Each child chooses where, with whom and with what he or she wants to play.
Our team consists of enthusiastic, committed and well-trained pedagogical staff who give each child the personal attention they need. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Droomtuin in Arnhem, part of Kinderopvang SKAR BV, was subject to an unannounced annual inspection on 16 March 2026. The location in the basement of nursing home Regina Pacis accommodates a maximum of 48 children aged 0 to 4 years. In all assessed domains – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights – the provider meets the statutory requirements. The pedagogical practice is characterised by a relaxed atmosphere, in which children experience emotional security and are stimulated in their personal and social development. The team consciously works on maintaining an open feedback culture. However, a safety incident occurred several weeks before the inspection in which two children left the playground unnoticed; the missing child protocol was correctly executed and the gate has been modified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement.
