About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Dondersteen, located at Foarwei 48 in Kollumerzwaag. We provide daycare for children from 10 weeks to 4 years old in a warm and secure environment. Our facility is specially designed to stimulate the development of young children, with attention to each child as a unique individual.
At Dondersteen, we work with vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. This creates a rich learning environment where toddlers learn from babies and babies develop by observing the behavior of older children. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding young children and provide each child with the attention and care they need.

Summary
This inspection report concerns an incidental investigation into Dondersteen daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Kollumersweach, conducted due to a planned operator transfer. TIKO Kinderopvang B.V. will take over the location from Ida Houkes as of 1 May 2026. The investigation consisted of desk research and email correspondence. The new operator meets all assessed conditions: the change request was correctly submitted, pedagogical policy is in place, all board members are registered in the Childcare Persons Register with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG), a health and safety policy has been established, and there is registration with the Childcare Disputes Committee. The inspectorate expects that operation under the new operator can reasonably proceed in accordance with the Childcare Act. No violations or areas for improvement were identified in this investigation. The operator did not submit a response.
