The annual inspection on 20 May 2026 at daycare center De Walvis in Vlaardingen, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Noah, shows a predominantly positive picture. The toddler care with early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VVE) for 16 children (ages 2-4) meets almost all quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is good: staff members respond warmly and sensitively, stimulate children's development and provide structure. The safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting protocol and information provision to parents are in order. One violation was identified in early childhood education: a staff member without the required language level 3F (Listening and Reading) had been deployed in the staff-child ratio.
