About this care
Welcome to BSO De Waever, our cheerful after-school care located at Voorstad Sint Jacob 74 in Roermond. We provide care for up to 26 school-age children from 4 to 12 years old. De Waever has been registered in the National Childcare Register since January 2, 2010, under number 128091289 and operates under Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond.
Our location is within walking distance of primary schools De Steenen Brug and Aan de Roer, with which we closely collaborate. We pick up children after school and provide care until 6:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our pedagogical staff guide children in discovering their talents and encourage them to actively experiment and use their imagination.
At De Waever, we believe it's important that children feel welcome, familiar, and safe. We provide an environment where children have plenty of space to play and move, both indoors and outdoors. Our dedicated pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child in various activities and developing new skills.

Summary
BSO De Waever in Roermond was inspected unannounced on 25 August 2025. The annual inspection focused on pedagogical policy, staff, safety, and accommodation. After a recovery offer, all legal conditions have been met. The location offers 26 childcare places and makes use of a recently renovated indoor space (91.25 m²) and a large outdoor area (1,100 m²). There was one violation: on Mondays, only one caregiver was temporarily present during the pick-up of a child. This has been resolved by deploying a trainee as a second adult. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
