About this care
De Verbinding Child Centre is located at Steltsestraat 50 in Lent and works closely with KION (Childcare Nijmegen). Together we form a child centre welcoming children from 0 to 12 years old. For our after-school care (BSO) groups, children aged 4 to 12 can join us after school hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, five days a week.
Our motto 'Together we learn to discover who you already are' is the foundation of everything we do. We provide a safe environment where respect, inclusivity and collaboration are central. Our pedagogical staff guide children in developing their talents and discovering who they are and where they want to go.
Through the unique collaboration between school and childcare, we create a continuous line in each child's development. A KION contact person is always present on each learning area, ensuring smooth practical coordination and allowing us to respond together to each child's needs. This way, education and childcare form one world for the child.
Our modern building, designed according to the latest sustainability standards, accommodates 464 children. Located in the heart of Stelt-Zuid district, we are a familiar place for children and parents in the area.Read more

Municipal Health Service (GGD) Gelderland-Zuid conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at BSO De Verbinding in Lent on 19 August 2026, in the context of an application to expand the number of childcare places from 92 to 104. The inspection included document review, a site visit and interviews with staff and the location manager. The inspection assessed the amendment application, the pedagogical policy, the safety and health policy, the premises and the information obligation to parents. All assessed aspects meet the statutory requirements. The indoor and outdoor spaces are sufficiently large, accessible and safe for 104 children.
