Through a special app, we share updates, photos, and messages about their child's experiences.

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Poel in Rijnsburg, part of Smallsteps B.V., was subject to an unannounced annual inspection by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Midden on 17 March 2026. The location provides care for a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years and delivers subsidised early childhood education. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. All examined areas comply with statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice demonstrates a relaxed, positive atmosphere in which staff warmly support and stimulate children. The early childhood education programme Peuterpraat is being implemented adequately. All four permanent staff members hold the required diplomas, language proficiency level 3F, and VE certification. No shortcomings, violations, or recovery offers were identified. The advice to the municipality of Katwijk is: no enforcement action.
