About this care
BSO de Passiebloem is part of Christelijke Opvang de Kindertuin and is located at Van Broekhuizenstraat 4 in Rijssen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a fixed group with consistent staff. This structure fosters familiarity and continuity, contributing to a safe and secure environment.
Our after-school care is a place where children can relax and play after school. We offer activities centered around a theme, but the emphasis is on free time and playful, non-functional engagement. We believe children develop best through play and discovery in an environment that encourages creativity and self-initiative.
In addition to regular after-school care, we also provide holiday care. During school holidays, we are open all day, ensuring children have a familiar place to go. We work closely with Christian primary schools in Rijssen, allowing us to align well with the children's daily experiences.
Our location accommodates up to 20 children, supervised by 2 staff members. This small-scale setup allows us to give genuine attention to each child and tailor care to individual needs. BSO De Passiebloem in Rijssen was inspected unannounced on 3 November 2025. The location provides after-school care (BSO) to a maximum of 33 children aged 4–13 years in two base groups, using school premises. The annual inspection focused on pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, staff qualifications, staff-to-child ratio, mentor structure, and language of instruction. All assessed areas meet statutory requirements. Pedagogical practice scores sufficiently on emotional safety, personal and social competence, and norm transfer. The pedagogical policy is elaborated in concrete terms in a working plan. Staff hold the correct diplomas, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) declarations, and meet the language requirement. The staff-to-child ratio is in order at all times, a functioning backup coverage arrangement is in place, and each child has a dedicated mentor. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The municipal executive is advised not to take enforcement measures.
