About this care
Welcome to BSO De Oceaan, located in primary school De Oceaan at Parkrijklaan 121C in Assendelft. We are part of TintelTuin and together with the school we form an integral child center (IKC). Our after-school care is specifically designed for children aged 4 to 12 and provides a safe and familiar place after school hours.
Our location is literally within the school building, allowing children to walk directly to the after-school care after school. This creates a seamless transition from school to care in a familiar environment. We work closely with the primary school to optimally support the development of each child.
As part of TintelTuin, we stand for quality childcare with sufficient pedagogical staff in each group. We believe it is important that children feel safe and secure with us, so that parents can bring their children to us with peace of mind.

Summary
BSO De Oceaan in Assendelft provides after-school care (BSO) for 51 children (ages 4–13) in 3 base groups. The inspection took place on 10 July 2025. The pedagogical climate is good: the policy is worked out in concrete detail, the practice offers children emotional safety and developmental stimulation, and the groups are stable with a fixed mentor per child. There is one violation: one staff member began working before being linked in the national personnel register. All other staffing and training requirements were met. No recovery offer was made because the violation had already been identified during the investigation. The municipality is advised to take enforcement action.
