About this care
De Matroosjes is a small-scale toddler group (day-care centre) operated by Stichting Kinderopvang Noordoostpolder (SKN), located at Sondelstraat 4 in Emmeloord. We provide pre-school education (VE) for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our group is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 242341391, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance.
We use a horizontal group structure, offering a safe and familiar environment where children play and learn. Mornings are dedicated to development through themed activities, language stimulation and learning through play. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide each child at their own pace and according to their individual needs.

Summary
Daycare center De Matroosjes (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Emmeloord was inspected unannounced on 1 September 2025 by GGD Flevoland. The KDV provides early education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) to a maximum of 16 children aged 2-4 years in one core group. The inspection report concludes that the location meets all statutory requirements examined. The pedagogical practice provides children with emotional safety, structure and challenging activities. The pedagogical policy is up-to-date and correctly implemented. The VE programme Startblokken is well embedded, with qualified staff, a well-considered training plan and active parental involvement. All employees are correctly registered and hold the required diplomas and Certificates of Good Conduct (VOGs). No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
