About this care
Welcome to De Klimop, our cheerful playgroup in the heart of Kollum. We are part of Tiko Kinderopvang and provide warm, secure care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4. Our location at Tsjerk Hiddesstraat 4a is just a short stroll from the village centre.
We organise small, same-age groups so every child receives the individual attention they need. De Klimop is open Monday to Friday mornings from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM, and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:45 PM to 4:45 PM. During these sessions our experienced staff guide playful activities that match toddlers’ natural curiosity and developmental stage, creating a real home-from-home atmosphere.

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Klimop in Kollum, part of TIKO Kinderopvang, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Fryslân on 8 June 2026. The toddler care accommodates a maximum of 16 children aged 2-4 years and provides subsidized preschool education. All assessed inspection items meet the legal requirements. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff work sensitively and responsively, stimulate children's development through play, and guide them in social interactions. The preschool education with the Piramide program is well structured, with sufficient qualified staff and a pedagogical policy officer. There are also no shortcomings in the areas of safety, health, accommodation and parental rights. Staff hold the correct diplomas and Certificate of Conduct (VOG) declarations, and group sizes meet the standards. The accommodation has sufficient indoor and outdoor space.
