BSO De Kaap is located in the building named 't Steiger at Fruitlaan 2 in Rotterdam. We are situated on the spacious and bright first floor of this former doctor's office in the Katendrecht district. After a thorough renovation, we provide professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 12.
Our location accommodates 76 children and operates with horizontal groups. We maintain an open-door policy where parents are always welcome. Children come to us after school to play, relax and learn in a safe and stimulating environment.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an annual inspection on 30 July 2026 at after-school care (BSO) De Kaap in Rotterdam, part of KindeRdam Kinderopvang B.V. The location provides after-school care (buitenschoolse opvang/BSO) to 76 children aged 4 to 13 years, divided across four groups in the Huis van de Wijk 't Steiger community center in Katendrecht. All assessed quality requirements were found to be sufficient: pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, Certificates of Good Conduct and person register, staff-to-child ratio, safety and health policy, and domestic violence reporting code. The pedagogical practice was positively assessed for emotional safety, personal and social competence, and transmission of norms and values. Staff follow hygiene protocols, ventilation, and food storage agreements. Previous violations from 2024 and 2025 have since been resolved. The provider responded with pleasure to the positive report.
