At Spelenderwijs, we offer a warm and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 13. Our toddler care (peuteropvang) is specially designed for children aged 2 to 4, where they can discover and learn through play. For older children, we offer after-school care (BSO), where they can enjoy various activities and social interaction after school.
Our locations are spread across Beek, Geleen, Sittard and more, and are equipped with a safe and challenging outdoor space where children can play freely. We believe in the power of learning through play and offer a wide range of activities, including music and movement, arts and crafts, and structured learning activities. All of this takes place in an environment focused on cooperation and development.
At Spelenderwijs, we place great value on healthy nutrition. We provide nutritious meals that contribute to the growth and development of children. Peuteropvang PO De Den in Mheer, part of stichting MIK & Spelenderwijs Kindontwikkeling, was inspected by GGD Zuid-Limburg on 2 February 2026. The unannounced annual inspection demonstrates that the location meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, accommodation, and parental rights. The toddler daycare (peuteropvang) accommodates 16 children aged 2 to 4 years in one core group, open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Pedagogical practice is consistent with policy, and children are challenged in a safe, stimulating environment. The group room is well-equipped with diverse play corners and an interactive movement floor. Parents are well-informed and there is an active parent committee.
