About this care
BSO Zuiderkroon is part of Kinderopvang KaKa and provides after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. We are located in Kindcentrum Zuiderkroon at Zuiderkroon 4 in Hoogezand, sharing a modern, sustainable building with a daycare center, toddler care, and a regular primary school. The facility is designed as an inclusive and multifunctional learning environment.
Our BSO has been registered in the National Childcare Register since July 22, 2021, under number 191625772. We offer care on weekdays, both before and after school, allowing children to play, relax, and develop in a safe and familiar setting while parents work or study. The location features bright, spacious group areas that encourage creative and active engagement.

Summary
GGD Groningen conducted an unannounced annual inspection at BSO Zuiderkroon in Hoogezand on 4 June 2026. The after-school care (BSO), located at Kindcentrum Zuiderkroon together with a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) and toddler care, was fully assessed on pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. All assessed legal requirements have been met. The pedagogical professionals demonstrate a very positive approach, provide individual attention, and tailor their approach to children's needs. All staff members hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are registered in the Childcare Personnel Register. The domestic violence and child abuse reporting code is actively discussed in team meetings. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is no enforcement action.
